Ashley is a guest researcher at ORNL interning through the Department of Energy Faculty and Student Team (FaST). Her research project is focused on the study of membrane poisoning by sulfur compounds. Using mathematical models, she simulates hydrogen flow in multi-layer membranes to investigate the mechanism of palladium poisoning. Her research project involves model development and prediction of hydrogen transport through the membrane in the presence of sulfur compounds such as hydrogen sulfide. Her advisors are Dr. Costas Tsouris (Mentor) and Dr. Jorge Gabitto (Faculty of Prairie View A&M University). This is Ashley’s first research project and she hopes to return to ORNL upon graduation. |
